Teter’s Faucet Parts at Oram Street and Gaston Avenue is moving to the other side of I-635.

The new North Lake Highlands store at 11410 Plano Road is expected to open Monday, Nov. 3, according to signs on Teter’s doors. The website and phone number will stay the same.

I stopped by Teter’s to get some details about the move but was declined an interview.

Teter’s has been in business since 1935, according to its website. The family-run store had a location on Abrams Road and then it moved to Oram Street in the 1990s. The property it now sits on, which was originally developed as a bowling alley in the 1940s, was reported to be worth as much as $6 million less than a decade ago. A six-story mixed-use building was planned for that space years ago but didn’t come to fruition.

In a 2016 article, owner Jack Teter indicated that he would be open to moving: “I don’t really belong here,” Teter said. “This should be retail.”
