The Powerball jackpot has surged to an estimated $1.25 billion ahead of Wednesday’s drawing.
The jackpot grew from $1.15 billion to $1.25 billion after no ticket matched all six winning numbers in Monday night’s drawing. The cash value for the jackpot now stands at $572.1 million.
Monday’s winning numbers were 23, 35, 59, 63, 68, with a Power Play multiplier of 4x. While no jackpot winners were announced, there were $1 million prizes awarded to players in Arizona and California for matching five numbers without the Powerball.
Tickets for the Dec. 17 drawing can be purchased until 8:59 p.m. Central Time on Wednesday.
