Wide receiver KC Concepcion and defensive end Cashius Howell earned first-team honors while offensive lineman Ar’maj Reed-Adams was named to the second team. All three started for an Aggies team that reached the College Football Playoff for the first time. A&M’s had its best regular season finish in decades going 11-1 overall and 7-1 in the SEC.

Concepcion, a transfer from North Carolina State, is in his first year with the Aggies. He finished the regular season with 886 yards on 57 receptions, tied for an SEC-best nine receiving touchdowns. The junior leads the conference with 12 touchdowns for receivers and 460 punt return yards, according to an A&M news release.

Howell leads the SEC in sacks (11½) and is fourth in the country in tackles for a loss (14); he had three games this season with multiple sacks. No Aggie since Myles Garrett in 2014 has recorded 11½ sacks. The senior is ranked second in the nation among defensive ends with six pass breakups.

Reed-Adams helped block for an Aggies offense that averaged 454.4 yards of total offense per game. The Aggies are the only team ranked in the top 35 in total offense, scoring offense, rushing offense, passing offense, passing efficiency and time of possession, according to the release.

A&M plays Miami in the first round of the CFP at 11 a.m. Saturday in College Station.Â
