‘Tis the season to indulge. Holiday hams, chocolate-chip cookies, eggnog – all and more is above board this December. For those in the DFW area, there’s no better place to delight in seasonal treats than Serious Eats. Throughout this December, the Grand Prairie establishment is hosting The Land of Sweets pop-up, where patrons can enjoy a Candyland-inspired environment of life-sized gingerbread houses, candies, and immersive photo-ops.

Located at 2971 S State Hwy 161 in Grand Prairie, Serious Eats is a “micro food hall” comprised of three Serious concepts – Serious Sliders, Serious Slices, and Serious Shakes. The vibrant venue is a family-friendly dining establishment known for its giant pizza slices, extreme milkshakes, and interactive vibe. As for the latter, Serious Eats offers a hangout spot, where visitors can enjoy live music and watchparties at the Jambox Music Stage or catch the Illuvia water/light shows from 8:30 pm – 11:30 pm.

This December, Serious Eats has decked its halls for The Land of Sweets pop-up. The immersive, larger-than-life holiday experience features a whimsical environment of floating candies, gin gingerbread houses, nutcrackers, and all sorts of fantastic decor.

Additionally, the Land of Sweets pop-up will offer the chance for kiddos to take pictures with Santa (from 11 am – 2 pm on December 21st), and pen their wishlists to the North Pole at its “Letters to Santa” station.

Here, kids – and adults alike – can enjoy a range of holiday treats like O’ Christmas Treat Milkshake, Frosty’s Funnel Cake, and The Cookie Claus. For of-age visitors, the venue also offers boozy shakes as well as other holiday cocktails.

The Land of Sweets takes place at Serious Eats in Grand Prairie from now until December 31, 2025. Santa will be on-site on December 21 from 11 am to 2 pm. Serious Eats at 2971 S State Hwy 161 in Grand Prairie is open from 11 am – 11 pm Monday through Thursday; from 11 am – 12 am Fridays and Saturdays; and from 11 am – 10 pm on Sundays.
