Police say the stolen car crashed into a parked vehicle after officers attempted a traffic stop early Thursday morning.
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Corpus Christi police are investigating a deadly crash involving a stolen vehicle that left one juvenile dead early Thursday morning.
Police said officers attempted to stop a vehicle driving recklessly around 12:32 a.m., but the driver fled. Officers later found the vehicle had crashed into a parked car in the 800 block of 16th Street.
Three juveniles were inside the vehicle. Two suffered minor injuries, while one sustained serious injuries and later died at a local hospital.
While investigating the crash, officers received a report of an aggravated robbery in which a vehicle was stolen at gunpoint. Police confirmed the stolen vehicle was the same one involved in the crash and said a firearm was recovered from inside the car.
