Matt Eberflus is taking a change of scenery for the final three games of the season, ESPN reported.
ARLINGTON, Texas — The Dallas Cowboys‘ defensive coordinator, Matt Eberflus, will move from the field to the booth, according to ESPN.

The Cowboys have the Chargers, Commanders and Giants remaining on their schedule. The defense has struggled this season, allowing the second-most points per game (30.0) and fourth-most yards per game (374.9) in the NFL. The Cowboys rank last in the NFL in passing yards allowed per game (254.8).
The move comes after Eberflus accepted blame for the Cowboys’ struggle. WFAA Cowboys insider Ed Werder asked head coach Brian Schottenheimer this week his reaction to Jones’ public statement that Eberflus will be evaluated over these last three games and how he’s handled it with his coaching staff.
“At the end of the day, we all understand the business we’re in,’’ Schottenheimer said. “This is the National Football League. I think Flus is a great coach. We have not played well enough in that area. But my biggest thing is I’ve been Flus. I’ve been through those people saying, ‘Hey, what about Schotty …?’ That’s part of it. We’re used to it. My job is to help Flus and the entire staff to come up with a great game plan and try to play the best we can these next three weeks. That’s what I’m committed to doing.”
