Major crashes shut down multiple San Antonio highways, cause delays

There are multiple crashes on three major San Antonio highways that are causing traffic delays on Wednesday, December 17. According to reports from the traffic monitoring website SigAlert, multiple lanes are closed on I-37, US-281 and I-35 in San Antonio.

The three left lanes on I-37 South at East Jones Avenue are blocked due to a crash, and delays are expected. There was another incident on 281 South at I-35, which led to traffic being backed up to Josephine Street and Grayson Street. The right shoulder of I-35 South at I-37/US-281 Exit 158 was blocked just before 4 p.m. due to a crash, as well.

The left lane of 281 North at Hildebrand Avenue was closed at 3:19 p.m., causing traffic to get backed up to St. Mary’s Street.
