A man suspected of killing three people in Henderson County early Friday was hospitalized after crashing into a Buc-ee’s in Ennis and shooting himself, according to WFAA-TV.

Deputies with the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office said Christopher Kyle Reid Jr., 29, of Hubbard, is believed to have fatally shot three people at a home in the Cedar Creek Cove subdivision in Mabank before 2:30 a.m., WFAA reported. The victims have not been identified.

Around 5 a.m., investigators said Reid drove a 2003 Dodge Caravan into the southwest entrance of the Buc-ee’s, hitting and pinning a pedestrian before shooting himself in the head, according to WFAA.

Reid was taken to a hospital in critical condition, and his status remained unclear as of noon, Henderson County spokesperson Megan Hogan told WFAA’s sister station KYTX.

The pedestrian, an Oklahoma woman in her 30s, was hospitalized with injuries that were not life-threatening, Ennis police said, according to the report.
