FORT WORTH – Harold Whittenton, 84, passed away on December 16, 2025. He was a man of intelligence, curiosity, kindness, and had a deep devotion to the people he loved. Visitation: 6 – 8 p.m. Monday, December 22, 2025, at Greenwood Funeral Home in Memorial Suite B, 3344 White Settlement Rd., Fort Worth, Texas 76107. Harold was an electrical engineer, a problem-solver by trade and by nature. He had a mind that loved to understand how things worked and the patience to make them work better. Whether it was a complex system or a simple fix, Harold approached life with quiet competence and steady determination. He didn’t just build circuits, he built solutions. Outside of work, Harold found peace and joy in the outdoors. He was an avid fisherman, someone who understood that fishing wasn’t just about the catch, but about the stillness of the water, the rhythm of nature, and the moments of reflection it brought. Harold was a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His family was his pride and joy. He loved deeply and showed it through his presence, his guidance, and his steady support. Generations were shaped by his example – his work ethic, his integrity, and his calm strength. He was also a great friend – loyal, dependable, and genuine. Harold was the kind of person people could count on, someone who listened more than he spoke, but whose words always carried weight when he did. Harold’s curiosity never faded. As a ham radio operator, he enjoyed connecting with people far beyond his immediate world. He also loved RV-ing, embracing the freedom of the open road, new places, and new experiences. Harold loved Star Trek – a reflection of his belief in exploration, innovation, and the idea that humanity is always moving forward. He also enjoyed Doctor Who, appreciating its creativity, humor, and sense of adventure – stories about curiosity, resilience, and exploring the unknown that fit perfectly with who Harold was. Harold Whittenton lived a life of purpose, connection, and quiet joy. He leaves behind not just memories, but a lasting example of what it means to be a good man. He will be deeply missed, fondly remembered, and forever loved. GREENWOOD FUNERAL HOME Greenwood Funeral Homes – Cremation 3344 White Settlement Road, Fort Worth, TX 76107 817-336-0584
