ALLEN — Jeremiah Daoud threw for four touchdowns and rushed for another, leading Allen to a 56-7 victory over Plano West. Allen only punted once, scoring touchdowns on their other eight possessions. The Allen (7-0, 5-0 in District 6-6A) defense was just as dominant, holding West to only two first downs and 19 yards of offense in the first half.
Down 7-0 late in the first quarter, West had a promising drive into Allen territory but a fourth-down pass from Allen’s 35-yard line fell incomplete. Five plays later Daoud ran around end for a touchdown and a 14-0 lead.
Lyndon Spriggs and Jaden Hambric split time in the backfield for Allen, combining for 162 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Josyah Johnson was the leading receiver, grabbing four passes for 79 yards and two scores.
West (5-3, 3-3) was led by running back Obi Kanu who had 67 yards on the ground and scored West’s only touchdown.
