ABILENE, Texas — The Abilene High Eagles took the field at Shotwell Stadium on Friday for their homecoming game.

AHS faced Lubbock High in District 2-5A play, with the Eagles looking to improve upon their perfect 3-0 record in district play.
The Eagles got out to a fast start, leading 28-0 after the first quarter.
Senior athlete Brayden Henry helped lead the charge with a 38-yard rushing touchdown.
The points kept coming for AHS, as they held a 59-0 lead at halftime.
The Eagles’ defense helped secure a shutout as AHS finished Friday’s contest with a 73-0 victory.
AHS scored three total defensive touchdowns, thanks in part to a pair of fumbles returned for touchdowns by Jayden Starks.
The Eagles are back in action next Friday to face Amarillo Tascosa. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. from Amarillo.
