Dallas, Houston – scoot ‘yer big butts over, El Paso has been named a top travel destination for 2026 thanks in part to peeps loving western style getaways.

HomeToGo released their top travel destinations for 2026 and we ranked pretty high, partly, thanks to a new trend dubbed the “neo western revival”.

Among other things, we’re a cheap date. HomeToGo says the average stay in the 915, per night, runs about $62.21. We’re also a cheap place to retire but that’s another story.

It seems travelers are turning away from big cities and big resorts, seeking instead more “frontier style” places to visit. El Paso, who truly put the “wild” in wild west, ranked #4 on the HomeToGo list.

What Is The Neo Western Revival?

El Paso is part of the “Neo-Western Revival” trend, which groups smaller Southwestern and Mountain West towns with desert landscapes and frontier-style appeal that are gaining attention from travelers seeking affordable, under-the-radar spots. Search interest in El Paso skyrocketed about 191% year-over-year, making it one of the six cities highlighted in this category. – mysanantonio

What Else Does El Paso Offer?

El Paso has got so many things to do and, on top of all the things to do, (some of which are super weird), there’s also a cool vibe. The wild west, relatively speaking, wasn’t that long ago and you can still feel it here.

You can also feel the history of both the USA and Mexico, while you check out all the sites, in a relaxed, very laid back way. We don’t hurry here, “El Paso Time” is real …  thanks in part to the lithium … and it’s real relaxing. More reason peeps want to come hang out here.
