(CNN) — A once-thriving bookstore is making a major comeback.
Barnes & Noble plans to open 60 new stores across the United States in 2026.
The announcement comes after nearly two decades of store closures.
The bookseller told USA Today that the expansion follows a period of strong sales at existing stores.
The new locations are expected to open in California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Ohio, Texas, Virginia, Washington state and Washington, D.C.
The company said the new stores will have a variety of books, toys, games and more.
