CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Texas Department of Public Safety troopers arrested a Robstown woman Tuesday morning following a months-long investigation into a fatal crash that occurred earlier this year.

According to DPS, Alexis Nicole Rios, 26, of Robstown, was taken into custody at her home at approximately 10:30 a.m. 

Arrest warrants were signed by 214th District Judge Inna Klien as a result of the investigation into a crash that occurred on March 2, 2025.

The crash resulted in the death of Justin Buentello and the unborn child of Amy Lopez and Mark Oliva, and left others with serious injuries.

Rios faces two counts of Intoxication Manslaughter, two counts of Intoxication Assault, and one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance (Penalty Group 2, less than one gram)

Following her arrest, Rios was transported to the Nueces County Jail, where she remains in custody.

The investigation remains ongoing, no additional information has been released at this time.
