Get ready, shoppers, a new H-E-B store is opening soon in the city. H-E-B has shared the opening date for the new $29 million store on San Antonio’s Far Westside. The 126,986-square-foot grocery store is in the booming area along the intersection of Culebra Road and Highway 211.
The new location will open on January 7, H-E-B told MySA. H-E-B did not disclose further details on what amenities to expect at the store. However, the store is reportedly going to include an H-E-B fuel and carwash, a drive-thru pharmacy, curbside pickup and a True Texas BBQ restaurant, according to hebdevelopment.com.

It’s slated to be on 15489Â Culebra Road, San Antonio, TX 78253, which is about 2 miles from Northside ISD’s Harlan High School and several growing subdivisions. The store is just nine miles north of another H-E-B store at Highway 211 and Potranco Road. It’s in the Stevens Ranch area that has seen significant retail and residential growth since the H-E-B store on Potranco opened.
H-E-B has been opening more stores throughout Texas, especially in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. However, the company hasn’t forgotten about San Antonio. H-E-B swung the doors open to a long line of people at a new store near the University of Texas at San Antonio in August. Located at 7330 N. Loop 1604 W. in San Antonio, H-E-B College Park offers customers their favorite products and a large assortment of South Asian and Indian products.
