Longtime Princeton ISD administrator Phil Anthony has officially retired from the district, closing a career that spanned more than two decades and included roles as superintendent and, most recently, executive director of operations overseeing long-range planning and campus developmentÂ
Anthony joined Princeton ISD in 2001, arriving from East Texas after serving as a superintendent in Avery and holding administrative posts in Quinlan and Boles. At the time, district enrollment stood at about 2,000 students, with deep geographic and socioeconomic divisions between families living north and south of U.S. Highway 380.Â
Anthony said that divide shaped early facility decisions, including the construction of Harper Elementary School to serve families in the district’s southern portion.
