The Texas Longhorns are losing another key piece from their roster.

Running back Quintrevion Wisner is planning to enter the transfer portal, On3’s Pete Nakos reported Friday morning.

Wisner is the 13th Longhorn to enter the transfer portal and the fourth running back, joining CJ Baxter, Rickey Stewart Jr. and Jerrick Gibson.

In three seasons at Texas, Wisner has appeared in 38 games and rushed for 1,734 yards and nine touchdowns. As the starting running back for the Longhorns’ 2024 College Football Playoff team, Wisner rushed for 1,064 yards and five touchdowns.

Wisner, a DeSoto product, rushed for a season-high 155 yards in the Longhorns’ win over Texas A&M to finish the regular season.

He also played well in the Longhorns’ last two wins over Oklahoma, rushing for a combined 212 yards and a touchdown. He had 94 yards in this year’s win over the Sooners.

The Longhorns are set to face Michigan in the Citrus Bowl on New Year’s Eve, and will likely have to do so without their top two running backs from last season in Wisner and Baxter.
