LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – After 24 years with Lubbock Fire Rescue, Captain Michael Dawson has submitted his letter of intent to retire, according to a social media post by LFR.
Dawson joined LFR in September 2001 where he received multiple promotions including being named captain in 2012.
According to the post, Dawson will now focus on spending time with his family while operating his HVAC business.
LFR said thank you to Captain Dawson.
