(KBTX) – Texas A&M volleyball opposite hitter Logan Lednicky signed a professional contract with League One Volleyball’s Houston team, the organization announced Friday.
“I’m so excited for Logan to start her professional career,” head coach Jamie Morrison said in a statement. “Since taking over this program, it’s been our goal to help set up out athletes for the next step after college and seeing it come to fruition is incredible. Logan has developed every year she has been at Texas A&M and has all the skills necessary to succeed at the next level.”
Lednicky finished her Aggie career as the program’s rally-scoring leader in kills with 1,686 and helped claim the program’s first national title this season. She tallied double-digit kills in the final 23 consecutive matches of her college career.
The Sugarland native was an AVCA second-team All-American and earned All-SEC and All-Region nods in all four years of her career.
Prior to taking up his post in Aggieland, Morrison worked as the director of sports performance for League One Volleyball, a professional organization that began in 2024.
The professional league now has teams in Atlanta, Ga., Austin, Houston, Madison, Wis., Omaha, Neb., and Salt Lake City, Utah.
Houston plays its matches at Cypress’ Berry Center and the Fort Bend County Epicenter. The season begins January 8 when Houston hosts Salt Lake at 7 p.m.
