According to On3’s Hayes Fawcett, LSU offensive tackle Tyree Adams won’t be on the team’s roster next season — news the Tigers found out about hours before taking the field at NRG Stadium in Houston.
“BREAKING: LSU OL Tyree Adams plans to enter the @TransferPortal, he tells @On3Sports. The 6’7 310 OL allowed 0 sacks through 11 starts with the Tigers. He’ll have 2 years of eligibility left,” Fawcett wrote on X.

A four-star recruit and a top-200 player in the class of 2023, Adams started 10 games over his two-plus seasons in Baton Rouge, including eight this season.
Adams played 462 offensive snaps this season, allowing zero sacks, 11 pressures, seven hurries, and four QB hits, per Pro Football Focus. Across his 15 college appearances, he surrendered zero sacks, 15 pressures, 11 hurries, and four QB hits while playing 537 offensive snaps.
With Adams on his way out, LSU has some serious issues to address along its offensive line.
Former five-star offensive tackle Carius Curne, who played 215 offensive snaps this season and allowed three sacks, 11 pressures, seven hurries, and one QB hit per PFF, 2024 Freshman All-SEC lineman DJ Chester, and Coen Echols have all announced their intention to transfer.
LSU does, however, have four-star offensive tackle Brysten Martinez coming in as part of its 11th-ranked 2026 recruiting class.
