2026 Winter Youth Basketball League

8-10 p.m. at 3202 Cabaniss Parkway and 1815 Howard St, Corpus Christi

This six-week league for boys and girls ages 6–13 runs from January 31 to March 7, with age divisions for boys (6–7, 8–9, 10–11, 12–13) and girls (6–8, 9–12), and practices and games held at Corpus Christi Gym and Ben Garza Gym. $1 Beer & Teacher Appreciation night

The Corpus Christi IceRays host $1 Beer Night and Teacher Appreciation Night on Friday, January 2 at 7:00 p.m., celebrating educators and fans alike. Teachers receive two free tickets with a valid school ID at the box office, and tickets are available at goicerays.com.

6-10 p.m. at 921 N Chaparral St, Corpus Christi

The First Friday ArtWalk kicks off 2026 in downtown Corpus Christi with live music, food trucks, and local vendors at multiple parks and pop-up locations throughout the area. Supporting sponsors include H-E-B and Andrews Distributing, with vendor curation by DMD, CATS Market, CC Dog Mama, and Water St. Market, while the celebration continues inside various downtown businesses.

Make Your Own Mosaic Lamps Workshop

10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.  at 3313 S Padre Island, Corpus Christi

On January 3rd, Corpus Christi residents can attend a hands-on workshop to design and craft their own Turkish mosaic lamp, with no experience needed and all materials provided. The event, suitable for ages 8 and up, includes Turkish tea, delight, and homemade baklava, and offers three sessions at Residence Inn Corpus Christi South.

11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 5488 S Padre Island, Corpus Christi

The Corpus Christi Tennis Association is hosting a pop-in event with demos and giveaways at Center Court inside La Palmera Mall, offering quick lessons and prize opportunities.

Parrandon Del Dia De Los Reyes Magos

7 p.m. to 12 a.m. at  221 S Hotel Pl, in Corpus Christi

Join us for a free family event closing the Christmas season with live music by the Rinkinkaya Latin Music Tribute Band and the traditional Parranda del Día de los Reyes Magos at Fajitaville. Families can take photos in the live nativity scene and dance to festive Latin rhythms.

The Art Center of Corpus Christi hosts a basket sewing class for ages 14 and up, where participants will create a functional fabric basket while learning basic sewing techniques. Attendees should bring a sewing machine and thread (optional fabric provided), with other supplies included, and can reserve a machine through the Art Center; the class is led by experienced quilter Dani Osborn.

Water Street Farmer’s Market

10 a.m.- 2 p.m. at 309 N Water St, Corpus Christi 

This Sunday-only Farmers Market offers locally sourced produce and handmade goods. Visitors can explore the market while supporting local farmers and artisans.

5- 9:30 p.m. at 2000 Billy G Webb Dr, Portland

The Real Ice-Skating Rink in Corpus Christi is open daily through Sunday, January 4, 2026, with sessions from 5–7 PM and 7:30–9:30 PM for $10 per skater, and skating aids available for $5. Families can enjoy a fun winter experience, including Hockey Night with the Corpus Christi IceRays on Monday, December 29, from 6:30–8:30 PM.
