We love parsing through the data that the Texas Comptroller’s Mixed Beverage Gross Receipts serves up: each month, every restaurant and bar in the state is required to report booze sales. From that, we can see what’s hot and what’s not. And how much money we’re collectively spending on booze, yet closing schools. Noooo … just joking (not really). One has nothing to do with the other. (But doesn’t it?)
For the end of the year, we asked TABS to pull a report looking at the past 12 months of sales: November 2024 through October 2025, the latest month available at the time.
We pull out hotels and music venues, although that gets sticky because some bars have live music, so it’s hard to draw a line. Either way, below is a look at restaurants and bars that pulled in more than $500,000 on average per month (in just alcohol, food isn’t included), then the remaining 30 or so, followed by what’s on trend for next year’s top-selling spots.

The Rest of the Best
The following are the next top-selling bars and restaurants in Dallas (about 30), again taking out hotels and venues. But hold tight, because next we’re going to look at October 2025 to see which spots will likely be a top-selling bar in the next year.
Notably, despite closing in early August, Rodeo Dallas remains in the top 10 of bars in Dallas. Although – oddly – it reported half a million in sales in October, a time in which it was very absolutely closed during the entire month. We asked TABS about it and they confirmed the data. Bail money maybe?
Also, newcomer CATCH has caught on, hitting almost $500,000 a month in liquor sales (remember: these numbers do not include any food items). Absent from the list of top-sellers? Nuri. This Uptown steakhouse spent $20 million on design and we’d expect it to be up there with CATCH. And look at lil’ Ill Bracco pulling up the rear, making the Park Cities set proud (Muchacho Tex-Mex also).
