“We get the best of both worlds. Feels like a loss for offense. We get to attack practice this week to improve. But we also get the win.”
“We’ve just gotta start faster and continue to build throughout the game. We’ve got to continue to move forward. Glad we got the win.” – on getting into a rhythm on the road:
“Our coaches really harp on winning the turnover margin. You win that, you win the game.” – on not turning the ball over today:
“We were ready to go out and play 88 snaps and execute. We got a lot of guys, lot of bodies that we rotate in to stay fresh.”
“We’ll go back Monday and see the missed opportunities we had (missed fumbles), even me. So, we’ll go back and look, and try to clean some stuff up.”
“I’ll say we take the defensive side of the ball very seriously and we have a lot of leaders, so of course we want to help out the offense. We’re very young on that side, where we have a lot of older guys on the defense. We want to keep lifting them up and pushing them because we know their time is coming.” – on Steve Sarkisian saying currently the team’s identity is the defense and special teams:
“Reset.” – on what his team must do, knowing they’re going on the road again next week:

“We’re a whole team. It’s defense, special teams AND offense.”
“I’m glad he’s on our team. He’s a situational master. He’s a special teams master.” – on Ryan Niblett
“We’ve got to get back in the film room and look at the small things.”
“We’re good. We’re finna go home.” – on when Mason Shipley stepped onto the field to seal the game:
“When you run the ball it’s your guys vs our guys. Our mindset is ‘we’re going to take our guys over their guys’.” – on teams running the ball against Texas on the goal line:
“Obviously it’s awesome to get those opportunities and as a kicker, you always think about those opportunities. It’s a really cool feeling, but it’s also Lance (St. Louis) and Jack (Bouwmeester).”
