On the latest edition of the State of the Sun Devils podcast, Jeremy Schnell, Jesse Morrison and Damon Allred react to Arizona State’s upset win over No. 7 Texas Tech.

ASU led by as many as 12 points in the fourth quarter before Texas Tech scored two touchdowns late to take a 22-19 lead with two minutes left. Then, the Sun Devils orchestrated a game-winning drive that was capped off by a Raleek Brown 1-yard touchdown.

The 26-22 ASU victory was propelled by quarterback Sam Leavitt’s return from a one-game injury absence and another great game from wide receiver Jordyn Tyson. Leavitt tossed for 319 yards and a touchdown, and Tyson caught 10 passes for 105 yards and a score.

The Sun Devils’ defense stepped up in the game, holding the No. 1 total offense in the country to 276 yards. The Red Raiders came into the game averaging more than 558 yards per game.

ASU kicker Jesus Gomez also had an outstanding performance in the victory. He made all four of his field goal attempts.
