Original story:

Within days of the disappearance of San Antonio teen Camila Mendoza Olmos, two more local teenage girls have gone missing. While officials have not linked any of the cases together, here’s what we know about each investigation.

Bexar County Sheriff searches for two girls missing near Potranco Road

According to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, BCSO Missing Persons Unit is looking for 14-year-old Sofia Gabriela Peters-Cobos and 17-year-old Angelique Johnson as the search continues for Olmos.

On Christmas Day, Thursday, December 25, BCSO posted that Johnson “was reported missing and was last seen in the 130 block of Exeter Place., near Potranco Road, on the northwest side of San Antonio.” Though her whereabouts are unknown, Johnson is believed to have had her cell phone, according to the post.

Meanwhile, Peters-Cobos was last seen around 7 p.m. on Monday, December 29, leaving her home at the intersection of Landon Ridge and Potranco Road on the Far Westside. She is described as 5-foot-4 and about 132 pounds, with green eyes and brown hair. According to BCSO, she was wearing “a black flannel shirt and black shirts” at the time of her last sighting.

Camila Mendoza Olmos update

The search for 19-year-old Camila Mendoza Olmos has become national news since she was last seen around 6:58 a.m. on Wednesday, December 24. A CLEAR Alert was issued by BCSO later that Christmas Eve morning. Olmos, a Northwest Vista College student, is described as 5-foot-4 and about 110 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes, and was last seen leaving her house on the 11000 block of Caspian Spring.

On December 29, new video footage showed an individual Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar said they believe to be Olmos walking along Wildhorse Parkway around 7 a.m. on the morning she disappeared. While it’s not confirmed that the individual in the video is Olmos, the clothing matches what she was last seen in – a baby blue and black hoodie, baby blue pajama bottoms and white shoes.

Officials believe she left her residence on foot, as her vehicle remained at the location after video footage showed an unknown individual believed to be Olmos searching inside it for an unidentified item. Officials also believe the only items she might’ve had when she disappeared were “her car key and possibly her driver’s license.”

Footage also shows an unknown individual believed to be Olmos searching her vehicle for an unidentified item. Officials believe she left her residence on foot, as her vehicle remained at the location – and the only items she might’ve had when she disappeared were “her car key and possibly her driver’s license.” While Olmos’ mother said the teen routinely takes morning walks, her phone was left inside the house, which is unusual.

Search efforts are still underway, and the Youth Peace and Justice Foundation is offering a reward of up to $6,000 for information leading to Olmos’ safe return.
