The Dallas Stars will be well-represented in the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy.

Team USA and Team Finland announced their Olympic hockey rosters Friday morning, and multiple Stars were selected to represent their countries in the first Olympics featuring NHL players since 2014.

Goalie Jake Oettinger will wear the red, white and blue for the Americans, while Roope Hintz joined Miro Heiskanen, Esa Lindell, Mikko Rantanen, who had previously been named members of Team Finland.

Defenseman Thomas Harley was also named to Team Canada earlier in the week.

High-scoring forward Jason Robertson, who leads all Americans with 48 points this season, was left off the roster. Many believe a lack of defensive and checking ability hurt him in the selection process.

Nevertheless, it was still a surprising decision by GM Bill Guerin, as Team USA seeks to win its first gold medal since 1980.

The five players selected to rosters all represented their country last year when the NHL held the 4 Nations Face-Off, a best-on-best tournament to warm fans up for the Olympics. Harley and Team Canada won the tournament and will again be the favorites in the Olympic tournament, which runs from Feb. 11-22.

Additionally, former Stars players Joel Kiviranta and Mikael Granlund were also named to Team Finland.

Dallas forward Radek Faksa could join them, but his home country, the Czech Republic, has not yet announced its full Olympic roster.

On the women’s side, Coppell native Hannah Bilka was named to the U.S. Olympic women’s hockey team.

Bilka, a member of the Seattle Torrent of the PWHL, played a game on Dec. 28 at American Airlines Center as part of the PWHL’s Takeover Tour.
