EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — The University of Texas at El Paso is set to implement changes to some class schedules starting this month.

The university announced that the new Texas Western Hall will open next semester, while the longstanding Liberal Arts Building will close.

To accommodate more classes, UTEP will shift morning courses to a Monday, Wednesday, Friday schedule with 50-minute classes.

University officials stated that this change will allow for more than 200 additional course sections each semester, aiding students in staying on track to graduate.
