EL PASO, TEXAS (KFOX14/CBS4) — A 33-year-old woman was arrested on Friday after she was identified in video surveillance footage of a hit-and-run crash on Wednesday in far East El Paso.

According to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, on Dec. 31, deputies responded to a hit-and-run crash on the 12900 block of Runway Ave.

Video surveillance of the incident was posted on the social media account FitFam, leading to the identification of the suspect, Domonique Delgado, police said.

A warrant for Delgado’s arrest was issued on Jan. 2, she was arrested and booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility.

Delgado was charged with Duty on Striking an Unattended Vehicle, with a bond set at $15,000.

Sheriff Oscar Ugarte said, “This case highlights the power of community involvement and responsible use of social media. If you damage property or put others at risk, you will be held accountable.”
