HOUSTON – Houston Police are heading to the Midtown area after a crash led to a METRO bus falling onto the side of Highway 288.

What we know:
According to METRO police, the bus was involved in a crash with another vehicle on Hamilton and McGowen Streets near Highway 288.
It’s believed the second vehicle rear-ended the bus, causing it to go off the overpass and onto the side of Highway 288.
Twelve bus passengers and the driver are off the bus and being checked for injuries. The injuries are believed to not be life-threatening, but they’re still being assessed.
The other vehicle in the crash also had one person injured.
What we don’t know:
No one involved has been identified.
The condition of the person in the second vehicle is not available at this time.
There is no estimate of when the crash will clear.
