CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — One of the most talked-about baseball spectacles in America is coming to the Coastal Bend.

Banana Ball is coming to Whataburger Field for a three-day stop May 28–30, 2026, where the Texas Tailgators will face the Firefighters. The Firefighters will feature some local talent – their head coach is Calallen softball alum and former firefighter Valerie Perez.

Known for turning America’s pastime into a full-blown performance, the Bananas’ games combine baseball with dancing, acrobatics and constant fan participation, a mix that’s drawn millions of fans nationwide.

Whataburger Field is one of 75 stadiums included on the team’s 2026 Banana Ball Championship League tour, which spans 45 states. The Bananas will be joined by five other teams, including two new additions next season: the Loco Beach Coconuts and Indianapolis Clowns, the latter honoring the historic Negro League team once dubbed the “Harlem Globetrotters of baseball.”

Fans hoping to attend can enter a ticket lottery through Oct. 31 at the Banana Ball website. Tickets start at $35, and selected fans can purchase up to five seats.

The team warns that tickets from resale sites may be fraudulent.
