SLATON, Texas (KCBD) – The 3A #11 Slaton Tigers are the first Hoop Madness Team of 2026 after going 5-0 this week.
After losing in the Double T Smiles Caprock Classic Championship by one point last year, the Tigers roared past Sands, Munday, 2A #4 Ropes and Forsan to take the Title.

Slaton then jumped back in District Friday and edged 3A #7 Shallowater 60-58 getting a buzzer-beater from Z’Qedrian Whaley!
What a week for Slaton capped off with a trip to the KCBD studios as the Hoop Madness Team of the Week.
