The Colorado Buffaloes are fresh off a nine-commitment weekend to open up the two-week-long transfer portal period. However, the fun does not stop there.
Running back CJ Baxter and wide receiver DeAndre Moore Jr., two of Texas’ top offensive playmakers, are scheduled to visit Boulder together this week.
Baxter is a former five-star prospect and No. 1 running back in the 2023 class. He was the Big 12 Newcomer of the Year in 2023, rushing for 659 yards and five touchdowns, but struggled with injuries the past two seasons. A commitment from Baxter would be the third running back to commit during this transfer portal cycle, following two Sacramento State transfers, Damian Henderson II and Jaquail Smith.
Moore, the No. 3 wide receiver in the portal according to 247Sports, caught 38 passes for 532 yards and four touchdowns as the Longhorns‘ No. 2 receiver in 2025. The junior put together several memorable games in his two years at Texas, including a nine-catch, 114-yard performance against Georgia in the SEC title game. He is an explosive open-field runner who can rack up yards after the catch.
Deion Sanders and company being able to sign both Moore and Baxter would be an all-time coup. The competition is stiff, especially for Moore, who has visits with Ohio State and Louisville. Baxter also visited Kentucky this past weekend.

Time will tell if the combo visit helps Sanders and the Buffs gain a commitment or two.
