AUSTIN — The Veterans Land Board has approved an increase to its home loan limit for eligible Texas veterans and military members.

Texas Land Commissioner and VLB Chairwoman Dawn Buckingham announced the maximum loan amount has increased from $806,500 to $832,750.

“I am thrilled to continually expand opportunities for Texas veterans who desire to own a home in the great state of Texas,” Buckingham said. “As VLB chairwoman, I will continue to lead the VLB as we help deliver the promise of the American Dream to our veterans and their families because owning their own home is incredibly special.”

Buckingham added the VLB remains committed to assisting veterans throughout the homebuying process, from qualification to closing.

Texas veterans and military members can apply for the low-interest home loan program at any time through a participating lender. More information about eligibility and approved lenders is available online.
