COLLEGE STATION — As Texas A&M football handled its game on the road against Arkansas, several teams suffered losses, which helped the Aggies climb the rankings ahead of Week 9.

The Aggies left the Southwest Classic with a 45-42 win, while four teams in the top 10, including two in the top five, lost.

A&M is 7-0 for the first time since 1994 and will be ranked in the top three for the first time since 1995, when they remained there for the first five weeks of the season.

The Aggies are one of 10 SEC teams ranked in both polls.
