AUSTIN, Texas — A woman was pronounced dead at the scene following a collision involving a motor vehicle and a pedestrian at the intersection of W. Slaughter Lane and Francia Trail on December 24, 2025. The driver remained on the scene and is cooperating with the investigation, according to Austin police.
The deceased has been identified as 35-year-old Ariana Deshae Williams. This incident marks Austin’s 93rd fatal crash of 2025, resulting in 97 fatalities. On the same date in 2024, 91 fatal crashes had resulted in 97 deaths. The investigation is ongoing, and fatality information may change, stated the Austin Police Department.
