AUSTIN, Texas — The Austin Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The incident occurred on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at approximately 6:36 a.m. on Burton Drive.
Officers responded to reports of a victim with a gunshot wound following a disturbance with a male suspect, who fled the scene before police arrival, according to a press release from the department. Detectives have obtained a photograph of the suspect and are seeking any information related to the individual’s identity or the assault case.
Anyone with information is urged to contact the APD Aggravated Assault Unit at 512-974-5245. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program at austincrimestoppers.org or by calling 512-472-8477. A reward of up to $1,000 may be available for information leading to an arrest.
