CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A 53-year-old man was found with multiple gunshot wounds early on December 19, 2025, prompting a police response to the 400 block of N Mesquite St. Officers administered first aid until medics arrived, according to the Corpus Christi Police Department.

Two individuals, 39-year-old Macario Trevino and 23-year-old Sabastian Espinoza, were detained at the scene and later taken into custody for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second-degree felony. The incident involved several people in a physical altercation where a weapon was produced, stated the source.

The injured man was transported to a local hospital in critical but stable condition. The Criminal Investigation Division is actively investigating the isolated incident.
