An Austin man was arrested Saturday night following a traffic stop on U.S. Highway 290 West in Brenham, according to information provided by Washington County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Jackie Watson of the warrants division.
Watson said that at about 9:08 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, Lt. Montes conducted a traffic stop near U.S. 290 West and San Marcos Street after allegedly observing a vehicle without license plate lights. During the stop, deputies allegedly determined the driver had an invalid license.
Jose Alexander Lopez Serrano, 30, of Austin, was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail, where he was charged with allegedly driving while license invalid, enhanced.
