Two people are in critical condition following a crash involving a semi-truck on Interstate 35E in Dallas County on Tuesday morning, according to the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office. 

According to the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office, the crash was first reported at 2:15 a.m. Officials said it involved an 18-wheeler and another vehicle.

Officials said two people were transported to an area hospital in critical condition.

All lanes of southbound I-35 were closed south of Valley View Lane as officials responded to the crash. Traffic was diverted to Loop 12.

As of 5:30 a.m., the crash was cleared, and the highway was reopened.

The cause of the crash remains unknown at this time.
