JT Toppin went for 23 points and 14 rebounds, with Christian Anderson putting up 19 points and 13 assists. Lejuan Watts also scored 19 points, and Donovan Atwell added 15 for the Red Raiders.

The Cougars are 31-28 all-time against Texas Tech after splitting road wins last season, with Houston winning four of the last five meetings. Emanuel Sharp averages 15.9 points for the Cougars, with Flemings posting 15.6 points, 5.0 assists, and 2.3 steals per game, and Cenac snaring 7.4 rebounds a night. Toppin puts up averages of 21.2 points and 10.8 boards for the Red Raiders, while Anderson gets 20.5 points and 7.5 assists per game.
