The woman’s grandson, Jonathan Figueroa, described the harrowing scene: “She was trapped under debris, including an iron wrought iron gate and other material from the home.”

Emergency crews carefully removed her from the room, and she was treated for abrasions and evaluated for additional injuries.

Surveillance footage shared by FitFam shows the truck crossing the street and slamming into the home.

Figueroa said, “My grandmother was very fortunate that God was with her. The amount of debris and the impact that she received from that truck being projected into her bedroom, is something that will never leave my mind.”

The aftermath left a massive pile of debris, with the wall completely boarded up.

El Paso Fire reported the call came in just after 6:30 p.m. on Monday night and two people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The family says they are awaiting answers as the investigation continues.

Figueroa shared an update on his grandmother’s condition: “God is great. She is fortunately here in her home. She’s got some possible fractures that we’re tending to right now, and she has some lacerations and some cuts that she received from last night’s incident.”

El Paso police have not yet released a report, and no arrests have been made.
