EL PASO, Texas — An 18-year-old man was arrested by the El Paso Police Department’s Gang Suppression Unit on December 20, 2025, after resisting officers’ commands and being found with narcotics. Nicholas Ray Fuentes was taken into custody on the 5500 block of Manila Drive.

Officers initially observed Fuentes walking on the roadway outside a designated crosswalk in the 9700 block of Dyer, according to a press release from the department. Upon making contact, Fuentes resisted arrest, leading to his detention. During the incident, officers discovered a smoking device containing narcotics in his possession.

Fuentes faces charges of Resisting Arrest, Search or Transport, with a bond set at $500, and Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 2<1G, with a bond of $1,500, as signed by Judge Sullivan.
