Evacuations for wildland fire east of Yoder have been lifted

EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) – The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office (EPSO) has lifted an evacuation order for a fire east of Yoder Wednesday afternoon.

The order was issued at 3:18 p.m. for the 1300 block of Harding Road. The order extended to those in areas south to Highway 94, west to Ramah Highway and north to Big Springs Road. A map of the evacuation area is provided below.

The order was lifted just before 4 p.m.

EPSO said Edison Fire Protection District is the lead fire agency, and multiple agencies and engines are on scene.

Deputies said they are on scene assisting with road closures, and fire crews remain on scene to confirm that fire ignitions are out.

Smoke will reportedly be visible for the next few hours.
