LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – After an uptick in Lubbock business activity reported in October, an even larger spike was seen in November. Texas Acting Comptroller Kelly Hancock’s report shows 18.03 percent more sales tax revenue than what was generated in November 2024.
The report released Wednesday is for revenue being sent to cities in January, based on November sales by businesses that report tax monthly.
The monthly revenue of $9,313,096.92 is 18.03 percent greater than the amount sent to Lubbock in January 2025, for sales made in November 2024, of $7,890,156.46.
Statewide, about $1.2 billion will be sent to cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose districts this month, an increase of 4.9 percent over the same time last year.
