AEP Ocean Dr. improvement project to cause lane closures

Two-week construction project begins January 12 between Ocean View Place and Aberdeen Avenue, with interior lane closures in both directions.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — American Electric Power (AEP) will begin an improvement project on Ocean Drive between Ocean View Place and Aberdeen Avenue on Monday, Jan. 12.

The City of Corpus Christi said the project will require interior lane closures in both the northbound and southbound directions and is expected to last approximately two weeks, with completion scheduled by Jan. 24.

Officials say safety remains a top priority and are encouraging motorists to use alternative routes when possible, stay alert in work zones, and follow all posted signage to avoid delays.

Access to businesses and neighborhoods in the area will remain open throughout the project, and crews will work to minimize disruptions to the surrounding community.
