Hey, it’s Grizz from 93.1 KISS FM, and on Saturday, January 31, I am doing something wildly uncomfortable for a very good reason. I am taking the Polar Plunge to raise money for Special Olympics Texas – El Paso.

But this is not just a jump into freezing water.

This time, you get to decide how I plunge.

You Control the Chaos

Every dollar you donate puts the power directly in your hands. Your support will determine:

What I wear when I hit the water

How I dive cannonball, belly flop, jackknife, you name it

And if we raise enough money, whether my co-host Iris Lopez gets “encouraged” to plunge with me

Yes. Iris. In the water. With me.

The First Goal Is $500

Once we hit $500, I will drop a poll on our socials with all the possible costume options. Whatever you vote for is what I will wear when I plunge. No backing out. No negotiations.

Every additional fundraising milestone unlocks more chaos, more fun, and more impact for an organization that truly matters.

Why This Matters to Me

I have supported this community my entire adult life, literally since graduating high school. I have worked alongside kids and adults with different kinds of disabilities, and that experience shaped who I am.

Organizations like Special Olympics do not just offer sports or events. They offer belonging, confidence, and hope. They show people that there is a full life beyond whatever label the world tries to give them.

That is why this matters. That is why I am freezing for this.

All funds raised go directly to Special Olympics Texas – El Paso, supporting year-round training, competitions, and programs for athletes with intellectual disabilities right here in our community.

This is one of the organization’s biggest fundraisers of the year, and it directly impacts thousands of athletes.

Let’s Make This Ridiculous and Meaningful

Help me support El Paso’s Special Olympians, decide my fate, and make this Polar Plunge one for the books.

And keep it locked to Iris & Grizz in the Morning, weekdays from 6 to 10 a.m. on 93.1 KISS FM, for updates on fundraising goals, polls, and whether Iris is mentally preparing to dive with me.

Let’s do something good and have a lot of fun doing it.
