Former Dallas Cowboys tight end and Argyle Liberty Christian head coach Jason Witten is leaving to become Oklahoma’s tight ends coach, according to a person with direct knowledge of the situation at the private school.
Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports was the first to report the news.

He is Dallas’ all-time leader in receptions (1,215), receiving yards (12,977) and consecutive games started (229). In 2012, he broke the franchise’s record for most receptions in a single game with 18. He was named to the Texas Sports Hall of Fame in 2019.
Following his retirement, Witten was hired as Argyle Liberty Christian’s head football coach in 2021.
