EL PASO, Texas — A pedestrian was struck by an unmarked El Paso County Sheriff’s Office vehicle at the intersection of Montana Avenue and Rich Beem Boulevard on January 7, 2026, around 5:41 p.m.
The pedestrian entered the westbound lanes within the crosswalk, disregarding a traffic control device, according to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.
Bystanders provided immediate aid until emergency medical personnel arrived, and the pedestrian was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation.
The incident remains under investigation, stated the department.
