LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Lubbock Police say one person is in custody in connection to two shootings in Central Lubbock, one of which left one person seriously injured.
Lubbock Police were initially called to the 600 block of Avenue Q at 1:10 p.m. on January 6th for a report of shots fired. Based off evidence collected at the scene, officers were able to determine a shooting did occur. However, no victims were located.
LPD says police were later called to the 4800 block of Avenue Q at 11:26 p.m. on January 6th for a report of shots fired.
When officers arrived, they located 37-year-old Joe Reyes, with multiple gunshot wounds. Reyes was transported to University Medical Center via ambulance with serious injuries.
Through the initial course of the investigation, Drukerick Dickson was identified as the sole suspect in the 4800 block of Ave. Q shooting, with evidence linking him to the earlier shooting on the 6th.

LPD says after several days of searching, Dickson was located by investigators with the Lubbock Texas Anti-Gang Center in the 1900 block of 21st Street around 7 p.m. on January 8th.
He was transported to the Lubbock County Detention Center without incident where he is charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and is being held on a $250,000 bond
