Hundreds of anti-enforcement agitators gathered outside Dallas City Hall Thursday night following the fatal shooting of Renee Nicole Good by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent earlier this week in Minneapolis.

The gathering later moved through downtown Dallas and drew several hundred participants, according to local estimates. Those in attendance called for ICE to leave Dallas and criticized the Trump administration’s immigration enforcement policies.

The Dallas protest took place as new video evidence from the Minneapolis incident emerged, complicating early narratives advanced by anti-enforcement agitators.

Fox News Digital reported, citing federal sources, that Good was connected to a far-left anti-enforcement monitoring group commonly referred to as ‘ICE Watch,’ which those sources said encourages participants to interfere with enforcement activity, including blocking vehicles and disrupting operations.

New Video Shows Passenger Exiting Vehicle Before Shooting

According to a report aired by CNN, newly obtained video shows Good’s maroon SUV stopped sideways in the street for approximately three minutes before shots were fired, and a passenger identified in multiple reports as Good’s wife exiting the vehicle prior to the shooting.

Fox News Digital reported that ICE Watch-style networks, citing federal sources, have been linked to confrontations involving vehicle-based obstruction of federal agents, and the footage shows the vehicle positioned across the roadway as officers issued commands moments before the encounter escalated.

CNN reported that after the passenger exited, the SUV later turned perpendicular across the roadway, appearing to block the street, shortly before an ICE agent opened fire. Authorities have not released a final account of the incident, and the shooting remains under investigation.

ICE officials in Dallas emphasized that the Minneapolis shooting remains under investigation. In a CBS News interview conducted the day of the incident, Robert Cerna, acting director of the Dallas ICE Field Office, described the shooting as “a tragic event” and said he could not comment further while investigators review video and witness accounts.

Cerna also said ICE officers routinely face harassment and doxxing, explaining that agents often wear masks to protect themselves and their families, and that public reaction to enforcement encounters often occurs before all facts are known.

The Dallas Express previously reported on a recent incident involving a valet at the Dallas Hilton Anatole who posted a TikTok video identifying ICE agents staying at the hotel.  A spokesman for the hotel confirmed to DX that the woman’s employment had been terminated.

Passenger Said Incident Was ‘My Fault,’ Reports Say

Video from the scene also captured the passenger — identified in multiple reports as Good’s wife — repeatedly saying the incident was “my fault” following the shooting. In footage reviewed by media outlets, the passenger appeared distraught and told officers she had encouraged Good to come to the location.

Federal officials have not confirmed the passenger’s role or intent, and no charges have been announced.

The Department of Homeland Security previously described the incident as an act of “domestic terrorism,” alleging the vehicle was used as a weapon — a characterization disputed by family members, local officials, and those gathered at protests nationwide.

Dallas Officials Respond as Facts Continue to Emerge

Dallas City Council member Adam Bazaldua described the shooting as a “cold-blooded murder” in a series of social media posts issued Thursday, arguing the incident reflected what he characterized as broader civil-liberties concerns tied to federal immigration enforcement.

Bazaldua’s remarks were posted before the newly surfaced video footage aired by CNN showing the vehicle stopped in the roadway for several minutes, with a passenger exiting the SUV prior to the shooting and the vehicle later turning across the street.

Federal authorities have said the incident remains under investigation and have cited what they describe as an immediate threat perceived by agents at the scene. Additional video evidence and witness accounts continue to be reviewed.

Bazaldua did not address the newly surfaced video footage in his posts but reiterated his opposition to ICE operating in Dallas and urged congressional action related to the agency’s authority.

Organizing Groups Previously Covered by DX Present at Gathering

Social media posts and on-the-ground reporting indicated that members of the Brown Berets, a radical leftist activist group previously investigated by The Dallas Express, were present at the Dallas gathering.

As previously reported by The Dallas Express, the North Texas Brown Berets have organized demonstrations targeting ICE facilities, shared law-enforcement locations online, and promoted rhetoric rejecting U.S. immigration law. The group has denied responsibility for violence but has acknowledged warning communities about ICE officer movements.

As investigations into the Minneapolis shooting continue, federal authorities have said additional video evidence and witness accounts remain under review.
